Collectors are chomping at the bit to get to Baltimore to take part in one of the most exciting events of the year; the 2012 National Sports Collectors Convention. Recently Upper Deck announced some exciting information regarding a wrapper redemption program at the show and some programs around redemptions. But that is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what collectors can expect when they visit the Upper Deck booth. Here are some exciting additions to Upper Deck’s 2012 National Sports Collectors Convention Plans:

Wrapper Redemption Update – Collectors just need to purchase two (2) packs of 2011-12 NHL SP Game-Used or one (1) pack of 2012 SP Signature Edition Baseball to receive one (1) 2012 Upper Deck National Sports Collectors Convention Pack. They must be purchased from a Certified Diamond Dealer who will provide collectors with a voucher for the redemption program. The program will begin at noon from Wednesday through Sunday and go as long as supplies last.

Collectors who open a case of products like 2012 SP Signature Edition Baseball will score their packs for the entire show along with a special prize while avoiding any lines!

Case Breaker Promotion – Based on the success of the case breaker promotion at the 2012 Spring Sports Cards & Collectibles Expo, Upper Deck will be debut this program for the 2012 National Sports Collectors Convention. Collectors who open a case of 2011-12 NHL SP Game-Used (6-box), 2011-12 NHL SPx (14-box), 2011 College Football Legends (12-box) or 2012 SP Signature Edition Baseball (6-box) will receive four packs of 2012 National Sports Collectors Convention packs for each of the four days of the event and they can break their case at any time so they will not have to wait in line. Additionally, they will receive a random additional prize consisting of another limited autograph card, signed memorabilia or a box of product. This promotion will be limited to the first fifty collectors to take part in the promotion. The cases must be purchased from an Upper Deck Certified Diamond Dealer at the show. This promotion is limited to one per customer for the show.

This is just a small selection of the items that will be available as a bonus for the case breaker promotion. Make sure to stop by the Upper Deck booth to check out all the prizes available while supplies last!

Kids – Upper Deck believes strongly that kids are the future of the hobby. Any kid who visits the Upper Deck booth and opens ANY Upper Deck pack from ANY year will receive a FREE Upper Deck shirt (one per person). These will be available while supplies last.

Upper Deck wants to get kids excited about collecting so they will receive a free shirt just for opening an Upper Deck pack at the corporate booth during the 2012 National Sports Collectors Convention!

Cards2Kids – Upper Deck will be partnering up with one of our favorite charitable organizations during the 2012 National Sports Collectors Convention; Cards2Kids! They are a non-profit charity dedicated to getting cards in the hands of young collectors who are in children’s hospitals or youth groups. For more information on the charity, click HERE. Upper Deck will accept trading card donations from collectors, dealers or distributors throughout the show to be used with Cards2Kids and we will have a delegate from the charity at the Upper Deck booth on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to accept donations and answer questions on the program. If you’ve got cards you would love to share with the next generation of collectors, donate them this week at the 2012 National Sports Collectors Convention!

Diamond Club – Upper Deck continues to support our loyal group of Diamond Club members and will be running a special promotion during the National where active members can score a FREE autograph card of Dan Marino and Alex Ovechkin just for visiting the Upper Deck booth. Active members who did not attend the show will be shipped the Ovechkin card at a later date.

Diamond Club members can score some great items just for attending the 2012 National Sports Collectors Convention from Upper Deck!

2012 Goodwin Champions – Upper Deck will have on display the entire set of the 2012 Goodwin Champions Animal Patch Kingdom cards. These were a HUGE hit in the 2011 set and we anticipate the demand to continue in 2012!
