Welcome to the final set of previews for the Darkness and Light Arc for Vs. System 2PCG! This Arc features various forms of Darkness and Light throughout the Marvel Universe. The first 55-card Issue focused on one of the darkest teams in Marvel’s history: The Masters of Evil! The second 55-card Issue introduced Spells and highlighted the masters of the Mystic Arts! This final Issue, Into the Darkness, takes a dark turn into the world of the denizens of darkness! But first, some more light…
The Arc also has more Spellcasters to reveal, like Forge, who is in the last Issue, but whose Inventions show up in this one! (What can we say, genius takes time!)
For more on Inventions please see HERE.
Did you notice his card number last time, or this time? He is a NEW Mutant, after all. This matters for cards like:
But what can he invent?! Here’s something!
Nice. But…is there anything larger he can invent?
You’ll notice that the Blackbird is a new type of equipment: Vehicle. A Vehicle’s special quality is that it can be equipped to more than one character when it’s played – its Passenger limit. (That’s what the (4) means next to Equipment – Vehicle.)
Here are the main points:
When you play a Vehicle, you choose characters up to its Passenger limit on your side, move them so they are all in the same row and next to each other, then equip the Vehicle to all of them.
If a character in a Vehicle gets turned face down, the Vehicle remains equipped to it if there are any other face-up characters in that Vehicle. A Vehicle is only KO’d when it has no face-up Passengers.
Passengers can exit the Vehicle but non-Passengers (characters not equipped to it) can’t enter it. If one or more Passengers moves to a different row, including during your Formation Step, they can either exit the Vehicle or take it with them. And if a Passenger gets another equipment equipped to it, it exits the Vehicle.
And Forge isn’t even the only Inventor in the Arc:
Remember that Lethal means that if Drake wounds a defending supporting character, he KOs it (regardless of its remaining health).
Note: Yes, Lethal works very well with Necrotech.
But what exactly are Nightstalkers? Some of you know already, and some of you will look it up soon!
Here’s another one, just because:
Remember that Berserker means that when he attacks, put a +1/+1 counter on him.
To finish today’s preview, we give you one last hero related to Spells:
