The streets and neighborhoods of New York are in danger with the looming presence of the evil Sinister Six. However deadly they are, you are not alone. Returning residents such as the Defenders join the fray in the new Protectors of New York expansion for Vs. System® 2PCG®. Join me as we take a trip across the Web of Life and Destiny and into New York.
Take on the Mantle
Our friendly neighborhood heroes all bring their own unique traits to battle. Here is a preview of Level 1 and level 2 Main Characters *Spider-Man* also known as Miles Morales. Using his unique Energy Threads, Miles is able to swing both allies and enemies between rows and even capable of disrupting their equipment.
Anything you Can Do, I Can Do Better
Our beloved Spider-Friends share many of the same super-powers. However, each of them tends to have distinct enhancements that set them apart. Here is a quick look at the advanced Spider-Sense that Silk and Ghost-Spider have as supporting characters. Silk has such an advanced form of this ability that she is able to foil the enemy player’s plot twists with her Silkth-Sense. Meanwhile, Ghost-Spider is in tune with the multiverse that she can sense danger from across different dimensions and jump to a different universe to protect herself.
All the World’s a Stage
Although New York is safe and sound, the job does not end there. Travel across the multiverse with this all-new alternative game mode. Prior to the start of the game, you will collectively shuffle any number of Locations without effects together to make an Arena Deck and reveal the top card as the Arena for the game. This Arena will have a profound effect that be used once during the game.
Here are a few examples of the influence some of the New York locations in this expansion will have on this game mode. Oscorp will allow you once during your Main Phase to look at an enemy player’s hand. Meanwhile the Daily Bugle gives you the opportunity to look through a few cards off the top of your deck during your Build Phase and place them back in any order on top or on the bottom of your deck once during the game. Locations come alive in Arena Mode and offer a new way to experience the settings of the Illustrated or Cinematic universe.
