Welcome to our third preview for the Mystic Arts Issue. Last time we looked at martial artists and Spellcasters. Today we’ll finish our look with some real powerhouses, including that supremely talented magician we referred to last time! You know who it is, the one, the only…
He can always see one’s true ‘character’!
Note: “Spellcaster of every type” includes types in the future as well. It does say ‘of the universe’ after all!
Reminder that the Book of Vishanti is an equipment found in the Vs. System 2PCG: S.H.I.E.L.D. vs. Hydra Issue.
But the Eye of Agamotto, that’s what Doctor Strange wears! And that’s new to the game:
Here are some lesser, but still potent wielders of magic:
And a sampling of their tools:
Now that’s a spellcaster! Here are some of his spells:
Note: If a character on your side casts Skill while Magik is also on your side, the Spell will resolve fully before she gets the three +1/+1 counters.
Thanks for reading and we hope – wait, this just in – there is another supremely talented magician!
Notes: “Dr. Strange” and “Doctor Strange” count as the same name for purposes of Uniqueness and Powering Up. Also, his Doctor Turned Sorcerer power is worded this way so if he leaves play, he retains his Spellcaster power when he returns.
Everybody start practicing their flourishes! We have ours picked out already.
Note: Doctor Strange can “only” cast Spells of these four types. As there are only four types currently, his Sorcerer Supreme and Agamotto’s Sorcerer Supreme of the Universe work identically. For now…
Get out there and cast some spells! We’ll see you next time when we all go…Into the Darkness!
Let the magic begin when Vs. System 2PCG: Mystic Arts arrive March 31.
