Without a doubt one of my favorite trading card products Upper Deck releases every year is Goodwin Champions because the content is so diverse that almost every box opening experience is different. It’s a great product to be in a shop for on release day because there is so much unique content that comes out and often a lot of surprises. Upper Deck’s 2019 Goodwin Champions release should deliver a lot of thrills to fans opening it on release day. One of the more stunning inserts in the product in my opinion are the Art of the Ages hand-painted masterpiece cards.
On the front, the artist is challenged to replicate a classic work of art on to a 2.5” x 3.5” canvas. Upper Deck commissioned one of the best painters on our roster of artists to complete the entire set for this year. Painstaking details are added to the miniature canvas to recreate these masterpieces and the end result of nothing short of amazing. Each card is a one-of-one and is signed by the artist on the card back. Check out a selection of some of the cards in the set for this year.
One can really see how exceptional the commissioned artist’s work is by comparing it to the original.
The odds of pulling these cards will be difficult, but for cards this unique, it should be. You don’t see these cards pop up very often online as they usually go right into private collections. When Goodwin Champions Art of the Ages cards are sold online, they definitely go for a premium.
Like what you see? Don’t miss these Art of the Ages cards in 2019 Goodwin Champions when the product arrives in stores in late June. Several seasons of these cards have been released already if you want to get a jump-start on adding these incredible cards to your collection, but as we shared, they are tough to find these days. Take a look at some older stories that showcase some of the artwork in previously released Goodwin Champions sets.
