As Upper Deck celebrates the company’s 25th Anniversary of licensed NHL® and NHLPA licensed trading cards this year, the company wanted to create a variety of promotions to engage fans at the Spring Sportscard & Memorabilia Expo taking place on May 1-3 in Toronto, Ontario.
On Friday, May 1 the company will host the Upper Deck Random Acts of Kindness Scavenger Hunt. Throughout the venue, Upper Deck staff will hide envelopes that can be redeemed at the corporate booth for items like signed cards, signed memorabilia and sealed product. The best part is that it is absolutely FREE to play, but you can only win once. Happy hunting!
Other free activities include raffles where you just need to be at the Upper Deck booth on Saturday, May 2 at 12:30 p.m. and on Sunday, May 3 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets will be handed out shortly before then and fans could score awesome items like boxes, autographed memorabilia, blow-up cards, signed cards and more!
Also, young and old alike are encouraged to take part in Upper Deck’s bubble hockey tournaments which are back by popular demand! While fans can play for fun throughout the show at the Upper Deck booth, there are set times for the tournaments:
Friday, May 1 at 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 2 at 3:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 3 at 11:00 a.m.
You’ll want to arrive about 15 minutes prior to sign up and there will be a variety of items up for grabs to win!
Upper Deck will also have some very cool photo opps as well featuring current NHL® rookies. You can take a picture inside an oversized card to make it look like you are appearing with these Young Guns!
Upper Deck Authenticated will be on site showing off the latest and greatest in terms of authentic signed memorabilia from Wayne Gretzky and current NHL® stars! So if you are looking for the perfect collectible for Father’s Day or upcoming graduations, make sure to chat with our staff on site!
What collectors really get excited about however are the wrapper redemption programs where if you purchase sealed 2014-15 Upper Deck NHL® products from Certified Diamond Dealers on site, you can score collectibles produced exclusively for the show! You will need to receive a voucher from the dealer and open the product at the Upper Deck booth during the specified times. You can exchange the voucher and pack wrappers for the collectibles available for each promotion. Autograph promotions are limited to one per person per day. Priority Signings Young Guns Tribute Wrapper Redemption Program
Open a box of 2014-15 NHL® Fleer Ultra, Artifacts or Black Diamond and receive two (2) of these 25th Anniversary Young Guns Tribute cards. Fans that open two boxes will receive all five (5) cards! The five players available are Brad Richards, Joel Ward, Mike Gartner, Adam Oates and Brad Park. This promotion is available throughout the show while supplies last.
Priority Signings Exclusive Case Breaker Wrapper Redemption
Open an inner case of 2014-15 NHL® Trilogy, SPx, ICE or a 12-count case of 2014-15 NHL® Fleer Showcase and you will receive two (2) regular Priority Signings cards and one (1) raffle ticket for a Priority Signings Exclusive card, Las Vegas Industry Summit Autograph card or signed memorabilia item which will be fulfilled instantly!
